“ … I have been writing about a small boy in the near future who runs into an audio-animatronic museum … and then addresses Plato.”
— Ray Bradbury
The “near future” that Ray Bradbury envisioned is arriving! The Ray Bradbury Experience Museum is now underway in Waukegan, Illinois — the city that native son Ray Bradbury immortalized as “Green Town” in his stories.
Ray Bradbury Experience Museum will be the interactive, immersive, transformative museum that Bradbury envisioned. Together, the RBEM Committee, advisors, and volunteers have achieved impressive milestones. We have contracted with Chicago Exhibit Productions and produced exhibit area renderings for Martian Chronicles and Fahrenheit 451 exhibit areas. We’ve won endorsements from the Bradbury daughters and from renowned Bradbury experts.
These accomplishments are propelling the Museum forward and will lead to the ultimate goal — opening in 2020, the 100th anniversary of Ray Bradbury’s birth in “Green Town,” Waukegan.
But we can’t go forward without your help! The Museum needs your support at this critical time. Your contribution will bring Ray Bradbury’s legacy of exploration and possibilities to future generations, just as it has to present day visionaries such as Steven Spielberg, Stephen King, and Stan Lee. Through your gift, you’re showing that you’re a champion of education, the arts, economic development, and historic preservation.

With heartfelt thanks from each of us working to ensure that the Ray Bradbury legacy “lives forever.”
