“Where is the hometown museum to honor Ray Bradbury?” People asked this after Ray Bradbury died in 2012. The question inspired a vision. It caught the imaginations of many.
In 2017, a grassroots group moved the vision into action. They formed the Ray Bradbury Experience Museum Committee, dedicated to establishing a museum in Ray Bradbury’s hometown of Waukegan, IL.
From that start, people came forward. With financial donations, pro-bono services, and in-kind donations, they launched the plans and developed designs that became the foundation of the future museum.
